Shrimannarayana charanau sharanam prapadye.
Shrimate Narayanaya namah.
॥ Meaning ॥
I take refuge at the feet of Lord Narayana, who is ever associated with the Divine Mother Lakshmi. I offer my humble salutations unto Lord Narayana and the Divine Mother, renouncing all sense of I and Mine.
॥ Chanting Method ॥
Chant this mantra daily during Brahma Muhurta or at sunrise after taking a bath. It is traditionally received as a secret initiation (Samashrayanam) from a Vaishnava Guru. Reciting it mentally with absolute surrender (Prapatti) brings infinite grace.
॥ Benefits ॥
• Grants immediate protection of the Supreme Lord and the Divine Mother Lakshmi
• Dissolves the mountain of accumulated sins (Karmas) from past lifetimes
• Destroys the subtle ego and aligns the soul with selfless devotion
• Establishes absolute peace, inner stability, and spiritual fearlessness
• Secures eternal service (Kaikaryam) at the lotus feet of the Lord in Vaikuntha
⏰ Best Time
It is considered most auspicious to chant this sacred mantra during Brahma Muhurta, sunrise, or during evening twilight. Chanting during these spiritually charged hours helps the soul deeply absorb the nectar of surrender (Prapatti). Special days like Ekadashi, Vaikuntha Ekadashi, or the appearance days of Alvars and Acharyas (like Ramanujacharya) multiply the spiritual power of its recitation.

About Shri Dvaya Mantra
The Dvaya Mantra, also known as the Mantra Ratna (the jewel among mantras), is one of the three secret and most sacred mantras (Rahasya Traya) of the Sri Vaishnava sampradaya, popularized by the great philosopher-saint Sri Ramanujacharya. Unlike many standard vedic mantras, the Dvaya Mantra is heavily focused on the esoteric principle of Prapatti or absolute surrender to the divine couple, Lakshmi-Narayana. The mantra is structured into two distinct lines—the first line represents the act of seeking refuge at the lotus feet of Lord Narayana through the mediation of Divine Mother Lakshmi (Purushakara), while the second line represents the ultimate prayer for eternal, unselfish devotional service to the Divine Couple. It teaches the seeker that spiritual liberation is not achieved merely by personal effort, but through the boundless grace of the Divine Mother combined with total self-surrender. Continuous contemplation on this mantra purifies human consciousness, subdues worldly desires, and guides the soul toward Vaikuntha.
