About Vande Mataram

"Vande Mataram" is the National Song of India, composed by the legendary writer Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay in his famous novel Anandamath. It served as a powerful rallying cry for millions of freedom fighters during India's independence movement. In 1950, the Constituent Assembly adopted it as the official National Song of India. It was first sung musically by Rabindranath Tagore at the 1896 Calcutta Congress Session.
