About Shrimad Bhagvat Ji Ki Aarti

The Aarti "Aarti Ati-Paavan Puraan Ki" is a deeply philosophical and ecstatic hymn celebrating the supreme scripture Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuraan. Composed with deep poetic brilliance, this hymn honors the Bhagwat Puraan as the storehouse of righteousness (Dharma), devotion (Bhakti), and spiritual wisdom (Vigyaan). It is venerated as the ripe, nectar-filled fruit of the desire-fulfilling tree of Vedic knowledge (Nigam-Kalp-Phal), which flowed directly from the divine mouth of Sage Shukadeva (Shuk-Mukh-Vigalit).

The hymn highlights the scripture's immense capability to churn away the sins of the Dark Age (Kalimal-Mathani) and alleviate the three types of worldly afflictions—Adhyatmic, Adhibhautik, and Adhidaivik (Tritaap-Nivaarini). Singing the glory and pastimes of Lord Hari acts as a supreme, divine medicine (Su-Mahoushadhi) that cures the disease of birth and death, destroying attachment to worldly pleasures, ignorance, and delusion. It bestows pure detachment (Viraag), spiritual discrimination (Vivek), and illumines the ultimate truth of God and self-realization.

Furthermore, the Bhagwat Puraan brings joy to the minds of Great Sages and Paramahamsas while captivating the hearts of Rasika devotees through the divine pastimes of the Raas-Leela. It grants worldly prosperity (Bhukti), spiritual liberation (Mukti), and unyielding divine love. Reciting this aarti brings the eternal grace of Lord Shri Krishna into one's life and purifies the atmosphere with supreme peace.
