In the worship of Santoshi Mata, before beginning the story, a Kalash filled with clean water should be placed. On top of it, a bowl filled with jaggery and roasted chickpeas should be placed. After the completion of the story and performing the Aarti of the Mother, the water kept in the Kalash should be sprinkled throughout the entire house. This allows the holy worship water to reach every part of the home. Following this, whatever water remains should be poured into the Tulsi plant pot. In this manner, the water from the Kalash should be utilized according to the rituals of worship.
