Kati ghunghra sureele baajat,
kanchanmay sinhasan raajat.

Nar naari sab tumko dhyavahin,
manvanchhit iccha fal paavahin.

Bhopa hain aapke pujari,
karein aarti seva bhaari.

Bhairav bhaat aapka gaun,
baar baar pad sheesh naun.

Aap hi vaare chhijan dhaaye,
Ailadi ne rudan machaaye.

Behan tyagi bhai kahan jaave,
to bin ko mohi bhaat pinhaave.

Roye Batuk Nath karuna kar,
gaye hivaare main tum jaakar.

Dukhit bhayi Ailadi baala,
tab har ka sinhasan haala.

Samay byaah ka jis din aaya,
Prabhu ne tumko turat pathaaya.

Vishnu kahi mat vilamb lagao,
teen divas ko Bhairav jao.

Dal Pathaan sang lekar dhaaya,
Ailadi ko bhaat pinhaaya.

Pooran aas bahan ki keeni,
surkh chundari sir dhar deeni.

Bhaat bhara lautay gun graami,
Namo namami antaryaami.

॥ Doha ॥
Jai Jai Jai Bhairav Batuk,

About Shri Batuk Bhairav Chalisa

Shri Batuk Bhairav Chalisa is a sacred, powerful, and highly revered devotional hymn dedicated to Lord Batuk Bhairav, the sattvic (pure), joyful, and child-like form of Lord Shiva. He is worshipped as an extremely compassionate and easily pleased deity, unlike the fierce form of Kaal Bhairav, and is believed to shower his devotees with immediate blessings of protection, fearlessness, and prosperity. This Chalisa beautifully describes His numerous auspicious names, divine attributes, and compassionate nature, highlighting Him not only as a protector but also as a divine force that brings balance, peace, and stability into the lives of devotees. The text also mentions His well-known folk divine leela, in which He participated in the wedding of His sister Ailadi and performed the symbolic act of “serving food” (bhaat pinhana), which reflects His loving, family-oriented, and merciful nature. This divine story is considered a representation of His deep affection for devotees and His readiness to support them in all circumstances. According to traditional beliefs, regular and sincere recitation of Shri Batuk Bhairav Chalisa is highly beneficial in removing sudden misfortunes, fear, enemy obstacles, negative energies, black magic influences, and poverty from one’s life. It is also believed to bring protection, inner strength, mental peace, financial stability, and overall prosperity. Devotees especially consider it auspicious to recite this Chalisa on Sundays, Tuesdays, and during Kalashtami, as it is believed that such practice invokes the special grace of Lord Batuk Bhairav, leading to harmony, success, health, and positivity in the household.
